-Inner Diameter:
This is the size of the opening where the exhaust tip attaches to your exhaust pipe. It must match the diameter of your exhaust pipe. For example, if your exhaust pipe is 4 inches, you’ll need an exhaust tip with a 4-inch inner diameter to fit properly.
-Outer Diameter:
The outer diameter is the size of the opening at the end of the exhaust tip (the visible part). This measurement is mostly for appearance—it gives you an idea of how large the tip will look from the outside.
-Total Length:
The total length is how long the exhaust tip is from where it attaches to your exhaust pipe to the very end of the tip. This helps you decide how far the tip will extend from your vehicle.
Example
For instance, a 4″-5″-12″(Polished) tip means:
4″ inner diameter: It fits onto a 4-inch exhaust pipe.
5″ outer diameter: The opening at the end of the tip is 5 inches.
12″ total length: The exhaust tip extends 12 inches from the point where it is clamped to the end.
